About the event
This face-to-face pre-event ahead of ACN’s National Nursing Forum offers members of the Aged Care Nursing Faculty a valuable opportunity to connect, share expertise, and engage in collaborative discussion on contemporary issues shaping aged care nursing. Designed to strengthen professional networks and enhance engagement within the Faculty, the session brings together perspectives from policy, practice, and research to support improved outcomes for older people.
The event will begin with a welcome and session introduction, followed by a series of concise updates highlighting key developments across policy, practice, and research. These presentations will explore emerging evidence, innovative care models, and education strategies, along with insights into current policy directions impacting the aged care sector.
A facilitated panel discussion will provide an opportunity to further examine priority issues and explore diverse perspectives on challenges and opportunities within aged care nursing.
The session will then transition into an interactive networking activity, using a small-group format to encourage meaningful connections, exchange of ideas, and exploration of potential collaborations among members.
