Join Mary and Kim from UnPause for an engaging, Q&A-style conversation exploring peri+menopause and the experiences that come with this stage of life.

Through an open and informative discussion, Mary and Kim will share insights, address common questions and explore the importance of understanding peri+menopause, helping to build awareness, confidence and support around a topic that deserves greater conversation.

About the speakers 

Mary Coustas - Actress, writer, menopause advocate and co-founder, UnPause, and Associate, monash corporate education

Mary Coustas is one of Australia’s most loved actors, writers and comedians, best known for her iconic, Logie Award-winning character Effie, who was born on stage in Wogs Out of Work before becoming a household name through the hit television sitcom Acropolis Now. Alongside her extensive career across comedy, television and stage, Mary is an

accomplished author. Her deeply personal memoir, All I Know, chronicled her heartbreaking decade-long journey through 23 rounds of IVF, the loss of her daughter Stevie and, ultimately, her triumphant path to motherhood.

In 2022 she premiered her critically acclaimed one-woman show, This Is Personal, which toured nationally through 2023 and 2024, and in 2024 and 2025 she toured  Effie’s stage show UpYourselfness. In 2026 she premiered Effie’s new show, Frigid to Feral. Mary has recently appeared in the BINGE series Strife 2 and Stan’s Sunny Nights, and currently stars in Mamamia’s podcast Unleashed.

In 2025 she released her third book, Marypause, turning her own experience of menopause into a powerful conversation about a subject too often left unspoken. That same year she co-founded UnPause, a menopause and midlife women’s telehealth platform created to give women greater access to expert clinical care, education and support through peri and menopause and beyond. Mary is an Associate of Monash Corporate Education at Monash Business School.
