Prescribing the Future: Designated RN Prescribing in South Australia - An ACN Connect event

ACN Connect is a national program designed to bring nurses and nursing leaders together across Australia to connect, collaborate and shape the future of the profession.

Delivered in partnership with our State and Region Chairs, SA Health, Affiliates and health sector leaders, ACN Connect provides a forum to strengthen professional connections, build awareness and empower nurses at every stage of their careers.

The South Australian, ACN Connect event will be hybrid allowing rural, regional and remote nurses in South Australia to participate. Members and non-members are welcome, and attendees are encouraged to bring a non-member colleague. Light refreshments will be provided to in person attendees.

Prescribing the Future
As part of ACN Connect in South Australia, join us for a state-wide conversation about Designated RN Prescribing in SA and what this significant reform means for nurses, the profession and the broader health system. Registered nurse prescribing is an important area of national health reform, with implications for nursing practice, education, workforce capability and the delivery of patient care. This event will provide an opportunity to hear about the South Australian context, understand the progress of RN prescribing reform, and explore the opportunities and considerations for nurses as implementation progresses.

The event will bring together perspectives from across the nursing profession and create space for informed, constructive discussion. ACN is committed to taking a collaborative approach to this national reform, working across nursing specialties and professional groups to support understanding, dialogue and shared learning.

We welcome nurses and nursing leaders from across South Australia, including colleagues working in mental health, primary health care, advanced nursing practice and other areas of the profession. The event is an opportunity to connect with colleagues, hear different perspectives, ask questions and contribute to the conversation about the future of nursing practice.
