About the Event

The presentation will provide an overview of the Healthy Children Initiative and it’s comprehensive, coordinated approach to childhood obesity prevention across NSW. In addition, there is particular focus on the role of health promotion in delivering nutrition and physical activity messages in these childrens’ settings.

About the Speaker

Cecilia Vuong - Healthy Children Initiative Program Manager Health Promotion Service South Western Sydney Local Health District

Cecilia Vuong is the Senior Health Education Officer managing the Healthy Children Initiative programs in South Western Sydney Local Health District. She has supported the delivery of these programs for over 7 years and actively supports research to improve healthy eating and physical activity in children. Her passion for health promotion stemmed from her undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.
