About the Event

Nurses are beacons of hope in the code red for humanity. In 2022 the ACN released Nursing Leadership in Emissions Reduction Guiding Principles. This webinar will help frontline nurses begin to implement these principles into their workplaces. Taking a systems thinking, behaviourist and implementation science approach we will discuss the guiding principals and explore how nurses can begin the conversation to adopt practice to deal with demands of the 21st Century Anthropocene and climate crises

 

Key Learning Objectives

  • Explain the ACN Nursing Leadership in Emissions Reduction Guiding Principles
  • Define and discuss systems thinking and behavioural approaches to implementation science in climate nursing and health advocacy
  • Identify and discuss practical strategies to implement the Guiding Principles into various nursing workplaces

Mark Holmes MACN - Founding Member of Climate Action Nurses and Human Factors Specialist at The Human Factors Nurse

Mark is a registered nurse and registered midwife who is passionate about influencing systems thinking and helping humans navigate complex sociotechnical systems. Mark believes that where nurses lead people follow and is passionate about skilling nurses to lead.
