Meet the NSW Central and Far West Region Leadership Team
Lisa-Maree Patterson MACN - Chair
Lisa has worked as both EEN and RN in Central West NSW. She currently works as a Clinical Nurse Educator in Rehabilitation and Palliative Care. She was part of the Emerging Nurse Leader program through the Australian College of Nursing completing it in 2022. Lisa is the Chairperson of the Central and Far West Region of NSW and part of the History Faulty Leadership Team. Lisa is passionate about nursing history, education, leadership, and empowering others to grow in their clinical and non-clinical skills. She has provided mentorship to junior nurses and enrolled nurses. She continues to empower herself to learn, improve and grow while also empowering those around her.
Caitlyn Knight MACN - Leadership Support
Caitlin has also worked as an EN and RN in Central West NSW since 2017. She now works as an RN in Emergency Department in regional NSW. She is currently completing Stage 4 of the Emerging Nurse Leadership Program with ACN. Caitlin began working in acute mental health as an EN alongside experience in medical surgical wards before embarking into the emergency environment 4 years ago and has found satisfaction in this role. She enjoys supporting her peers and mentoring junior staff and students to reach their potential. She is also passionate about history, improve nursing retention in the work force, and promoting positive environmental and climate change in the nursing environment
Patience Moyo - Secretariat Support
Patience commenced work as a Registered Nurse in 2002 in Zimbabwe, to which she amassed wide nursing experience in the following specialties: medical/surgical nursing, paediatric nursing, critical care nursing, emergency care nursing, midwifery and nursing education. Patience migrated to Australia in 2008, and gained great nursing expertise in Surgical and Perioperative nursing. In my nursing career, I have worked in various capacities which include; Registered Nurse, Clinical Nurse Instructor (CNE), Clinical Nurse Specialist, Acting Nurse Unit Manager and Lecturer in Nursing. I completed my Master of Advanced Nursing practice with the University of Newcastle, Post Graduate Certificate in Medical/Surgical Nursing with the Australian College of Nursing and Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education with the Charles Sturt University. I am currently working as a Lecturer in Nursing at Charles Sturt University.
