Join the Rural and Remote Nursing Faculty for their upcoming webinar with guest speaker, Jessica (Jessie) Elliott MACN. Jessie will be sharing her PhD research which, explores how socialisation, community connection, and a sense of belonging during rural clinical placements influence undergraduate nursing students’ career decisions to remain in rural practice.

About the speaker

Jessica (Jessie) Elliott MACN - Lecturer at the University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ)

Jessie Elliott is an emerging researcher focused on nurse employability and rural health. She contributed to the Charleville End-to-End Training Program to address nursing shortages in Southwest Queensland. Currently undertaking a PhD, she examines how social and community factors influence rural nursing student retention and strengthen remote workforce pathways.
