Join the South Australian Region Leadership Team for their webinar on the evolving role of Nurse Practitioners (NPs) around the world. Invited guest speaker, Amanda Fitzgerald will share her experiences and key learnings from an overseas trip, where she explored NP roles in various countries.
Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how these roles differ internationally and how these insights can be applied to the Nurse Practitioner role here in South Australia. The presentation will also outline the process of becoming an NP in Australia, providing valuable guidance for aspiring healthcare professionals.

About the speaker
Amanda Fitzgerald Nurse Practitioner, TQEH Memory Service
Amanda has been a registered nurse since 2001, and have post graduate qualifications in gerontology and general practice, as well as a masters of nursing and masters of nurse practitioner. Amanda was the lead author in a published literature review describing factors that influence missed care in nursing. Amanda was endorsed as a nurse practitioner at the end of 2023, and specialises in geriatrics and cognitive neurology. As a nurse practitioner, Amanda is passionate about advocating for excellence in nursing practice, and by supporting nurses to deliver high quality care.
