About the Speaker

Linda Davidson FACN - National Director for Professional Practice, Australian College of Nursing



Linda is a passionate nurse that started as a 4yr old’s dream and progressed to reality with over 49yrs experience in nursing, midwifery, and senior nurse/midwifery leadership. Linda is a FACN with the Australian College of Nursing (ACN). Her strengths are demonstrated in developing others and ensuring that the profession's voice is ever-present and valued for its contribution to shaping health. Linda is the National Director for Professional Practice with ACN and oversees the portfolios of Policy & Advocacy, Professional Engagement, Affiliate Partnerships, and the Institute of Leadership Programs. Linda is inspired by the extensive reach of nurses’ roles and the pivotal value they bring to healthcare outcomes. Linda observed firsthand during the COVID-19 pandemic response how nursing took the reigns of leadership, care, compassion, and the voice for humanity in delivering services to patients and the community.
