About the Speakers

 

Marissa Jacques - Director - My Dream Job Careers Consulting

With a Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management), Graduate Diploma of Psychology, and Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology, Marissa is a qualified and experienced HR professional and trained Psychologist. Marissa specialises in resume preparation, letter writing, and interview preparation.

 

 

Linda Davidson FACN

Linda is a passionate nurse that started as a 4yr old’s dream and progressed to reality with over 49yrs experience in nursing, midwifery, and senior nurse/midwifery leadership. Linda is a FACN with the Australian College of Nursing (ACN). Her strengths are demonstrated in developing others and ensuring that the profession's voice is ever-present and valued for its contribution to shaping health. More recently Linda was the National Director for Professional Practice with ACN and overseen the portfolios of Policy & Advocacy, Professional Engagement, Affiliate Partnerships, and the Institute of Leadership Programs. Linda is inspired by the extensive reach of nurses’ roles and the pivotal value they bring to healthcare outcomes. Linda observed firsthand during the COVID-19 pandemic response how nursing took the reigns of leadership, care, compassion, and the voice for humanity in delivering services to patients and the community.

 

Nasiba Faiz MACN - Paediatric ICU RN, ENL

Nasiba is an energetic and bright Paediatric ICU registered nurse with a background in medical science, research and neonatal ICU nursing. Graduating with distinction from The University of Sydney, she is also honoured as a Stage 5 ACN Emerging Nurse Leader, underscoring her commitment to leadership, mentoring and excellence in nursing. She currently works full-time at the Sydney Children's Hospital Network and serves as the Secretary of the ACN NSW-Sydney Region. Throughout her career, Nasiba has actively engaged with underserved communities across NSW through outreach initiatives, contributed to the development of a university leadership curriculum, and held the position of Vice President at the Sydney University Nursing Society. She contributed to the field of nursing during her academic journey, including her participation in a Summer Research Scholar program and her subsequent work at the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse Cancer Nursing Research Unit, culminating in her first published papers on long-term survivorship for colorectal cancer patients. Nasiba has an unwavering dedication to children and their families and is currently completing her post-graduate studies in Paediatric Intensive Care Nursing.

 

Caitlyn Moore MACN - Community Nurse and ENL

 

Caitlyn is an early-career registered nurse with a radiant passion and enthusiasm for the nursing profession. In particular, Caitlyn values person-centred, evidence-based practice in nursing and the empowerment of early-career nurses. Caitlyn is in her third year of practice as a registered nurse and has recently moved from working in an Intensive Care Unit to a role in Community Health Nursing. 

Caitlyn is currently in Stage 4 of the Australian College of Nursing (ACN) Emerging Nurse Leader program, having completed Stages 2 and 3 of the Emerging Nurse Leader Program in previous years. Caitlyn is continuing her role as a tutor at the University of Wollongong for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nursing students and will commence a Graduate Certificate in Nursing (Primary Health) in July 2024.
