About the speaker

Judith Smith is the Director of Professional Development at the Australian College of Nursing and a nurse with over 30 years of experience. Judith is the senior lead on the Aged Care Transition to Practice Program and several other national nursing programs through the Australian College of Nursing.

Judith is passionate about developing capacity within the nursing workforce by engaging nurses at all levels, challenging and empowering them to grow professionally and personally so they can contribute as leaders in their industry. This is evidenced by a successful career in nursing education in clinical, tertiary, and corporate settings.

Judith has also consulted on curriculum design both nationally and internationally. She has been involved in several state and national working parties and advisory groups to improve service performance and patient outcomes.
