Join us as Brendan Docherty the Deputy Secretary of Health in Tasmania explores leading with influence and inspiring others to take action. Brendan will delve into building connections and the influence of effective communication in a leader.

About the Speaker

Brendan Docherty (he/him) - Deputy Secretary | Hospitals and Primary Care, Tasmanian Health Service | Department of Health

An experienced, highly motivated executive leader, who believes patients come first. Managing healthcare services based on positive patient outcomes and enabling high performing teams to achieve those outcomes. Management of staff, budget, key performance indicators, redesign initiatives, projects and change, service provision and strategic service development, whilst also contributing at Executive level to Corporate and Clinical Governance activities are his key strengths. Passionate about patient flow, demand management, clinical governance, education & training, research & development, activity based funding, efficiency & effectiveness, evidence-based healthcare, and the patient experience
