Presented by Jennifer Harland RN MSc MA CDAN FACN
Jennifer Harland is a highly experienced health professional with over four decades of practice across clinical care, management, and health policy. A Credentialled Drug and Alcohol Nurse and Fellow of the Australian College of Nursing, Jennifer has held influential roles spanning frontline nursing, senior leadership, and national advocacy. She is currently the Director of Leadership and Transformation at the Australian College of Nursing, where she is shaping leadership development for nurses across Australia.
Jennifer previously worked for the ACT Government as Director, Ageing and End of Life Policy, where she led strategic policy initiatives to support older Canberrans and people nearing the end of life. Throughout her career, Jennifer has been driven by a strong belief in empowering people to define their own goals and supporting them to achieve them. Her work reflects a deep commitment to person centred care, professional excellence, and advancing the nursing profession.

Presented by Adjunct Prof Gabrielle Prest FACN
Gabrielle is an experienced health executive and clinical leader with expertise across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. She has held senior leadership roles in cancer care, palliative care, digital health and aged care, including founding State Manager of the Leukaemia Foundation NSW/ACT, and has extensive experience leading both established organisations and new initiatives.
Gabrielle holds a Master of Public Health, is a Fellow of the Australian College of Nursing, and has completed executive leadership and governance programs, including the Australian Institute of Company Directors course. Gabrielle has served on several boards, published in peer-reviewed journals, and continues to contribute to academia and healthcare leadership through teaching and non-executive director roles.

Aroha Lucas MACN
Aroha is a proud member of the End of Life Care Faculty Leadership Team and a registered nurse with over seven years of clinical experience. Her career in aged care began in 2012 as a therapy assistant and care worker, roles that sparked her passion for supporting older people and inspired her to pursue nursing.
Since then, Aroha has progressed into senior leadership and now serves as the Service Manager (Facility Manager) of a 61 bed residential aged care home. She holds a Bachelor of Nursing, has completed an Aged Care Graduate Program, a Graduate Certificate in Health Care Leadership, and the ACN Leader’s Mindset series. Most recently, she completed the Australian College of Health Service Management Clinician to Manager program.
Aroha has contributed to several palliative care initiatives, including the PACOP and PEPA programs, strengthening her commitment to high quality end of life care. She is deeply passionate about holistic, person centred dementia care and is dedicated to ensuring that people living with dementia experience a homely environment enriched with meaningful, life affirming experiences.

Presented by Professor Olivia Gallagher MACN
Olivia has over 20 years’ experience in higher education, many of those in leadership roles. Olivia’s research focuses on aged health care, particularly for frail older adults or those with cognitive impairment. Previous roles include Clinical Nurse Consultant in aged care and Quality Assessor for the Australian Government. She is currently the Chair of the Aged Care Nursing Faculty and provides expert witness services in the area of safety and quality in aged care.
