This webinar seeks to educate and empower rural and remote nurses in the early detection of pancreatic cancer as well as how to utilise and navigate the APRISE national screening program. Further, attendees can expect to learn more about referral pathways and the available information for patients with pancreatic cancer to optimise their care.

  • Identify key signs/symptoms, and understand when and how to escalate or refer patients for further assessment 
  • Understand eligibility and referral pathways to screen individuals at high risk of pancreatic cancer

Anastasia Veno is the Pancreatic Nurse Coordinator at the Jreissati Pancreatic Centre at Epworth, a specialist centre for pancreatic cancer care and early detection. She coordinates clinical care, supports patients and families, and fosters multidisciplinary collaboration delivering comprehensive services across Epworth hospitals in Richmond, East Melbourne, Box Hill, and Geelong.
