Dr Nilufer McKay MACN - Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Course Coordinator for the Master of Nursing (NP) course at Edith Cowan University

Dr Nilufeur McKay is a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Course Coordinator for the Master of Nursing (NP) course at Edith Cowan University. Nilufeur has over 25 years nursing experience, including 17 years as a NP in both the United States and Australia. Dr McKay completed her Master of Nursing (Adult Nurse Practitioner) at Arizona State University and Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore USA. Nilufeur is leading new innovative ways to teaching nurse practitioners in Australia and is actively involved in international advanced practice nursing education initiatives with the International Council of Nurses. In additional to Nilufeur’s teaching practice she is actively involved in clinical research in the care of heart failure patients, improving communication and reducing preventable readmissions.
