2027 Clinical Educators' Masterclass - Melbourne

This practical and interactive masterclass is designed for clinical educators, preceptors, nurse leaders, and healthcare professionals who support learners in clinical practice. As today's workforce becomes increasingly multigenerational and neurodiverse, educators require contemporary teaching skills that foster inclusive, psychologically safe, and high-performing learning environments.  The program combines evidence-based educational theory with practical workplace application, equipping participants with strategies to confidently teach, coach, mentor, and provide effective feedback to learners across all stages of their careers.






Pre-Masterclass Online Learning (4 Hours) 

Participants complete a self-paced online module before attending the workshop, providing a common foundation in: 

  • Adult learning principles and contemporary learning theories 

  • Emotional intelligence and self-awareness for educators 

  • Applying educational theory to clinical teaching practice

Masterclass Learning Outcomes 

Participants will: 

  • Apply adult learning principles to engage learners effectively in busy clinical environments and tailor teaching to individual learning needs. 

  • Understand generational learning by exploring the learning preferences, communication styles, motivations, and feedback expectations of different generations, enabling educators to adapt their approach to diverse workforces. 

  • Develop emotional intelligence to build psychological safety, strengthen educator-learner relationships, manage challenging conversations, and enhance educator resilience. 

  • Implement innovative clinical teaching strategies and inclusive approaches that support neurodiverse learners. 

  • Deliver meaningful feedback using evidence-based models such as SBI and Pendleton to promote reflection, confidence, and professional growth. 

  • Recognise and support challenging learners by identifying barriers to learning, addressing performance concerns constructively, and creating supportive action plans while minimising bias. 

  • Translate theory into practice through interactive case studies, practical activities, and real-world clinical scenarios that can be immediately applied in the workplace.
