About the event

This event unites ACN ACT Region Members for a year-end celebration, welcoming our new CEO, Adjunct Professor Kathryn Zeitz FACN, who will address our region members. The event is being held at Poppy's Café at the Australian War Memorial (AWM) and is a well-known venue for both the ACT and the wider Australian community. It is also the site of the unveiling of the Vivian Bullwinkel sculpture—the first sculpture dedicated to an individual nurse or woman at the AWM, a significant accomplishment for the ACN, the nursing profession in partnership with the AWM.

This sculpture serves as a lasting tribute to Vivian’s remarkable military service and her significant contribution to the history of Australian nursing. It's an opportunity for ACN ACT Region members to gather, draw inspiration from the nurses who paved the way for us, and honour their service. It is also a time to celebrate nurses of the ACT region, their strength and commitment to continue to drive the nursing profession forward.

 A light breakfast will be served along with tea, coffee and juice.
