Paws and Pause: Nurses, Coping and Companionship
Through friendly conversation and small-group discussions, we’ll explore practical ways to switch off after a busy shift, maintain healthy boundaries, seek support and support one another as nurses. This is an informal, judgement-free space to connect with colleagues, share ideas and build our collective toolkit for wellbeing.
About the event
Nursing can be incredibly
rewarding, but it can also be demanding. Join us for a relaxed, welcoming
session focused on connection, wellbeing and the little things that help us
recharge outside of work. Bring your furry, feathered or scaly companion along
for a virtual pet introduction, or share a favourite animal, plant, hobby or
something else that brings you joy. Through friendly conversation and
small-group discussions, we’ll explore practical ways to switch off after a
busy shift, maintain healthy boundaries, seek support and support one another
as nurses. This is an informal, judgement-free space to connect with
colleagues, share ideas and build our collective toolkit for wellbeing. Sharing
is entirely optional, and there is no pressure to discuss personal or
challenging experiences.

strategies to manage the emotional and psychological demands of nursing and
support wellbeing outside of work.
- Recognise the importance of connection
and support by identifying ways to seek help, maintain healthy boundaries and
support colleagues in the workplace.
- Develop practical strategies for
resilience and self-care by sharing realistic approaches to switching off after
