Webinar 1:Awaken the Leader Within

Explore the foundations of effective leadership in mental health nursing, including core leadership principles, professional influence and the role of nurses in shaping quality care and positive workplace cultures.
Presented by Jennifer Harland RN MSc MA CDAN FACN
Jennifer Harland is a highly experienced health professional with over four decades of practice across clinical care, management, and health policy. A Credentialled Drug and Alcohol Nurse and Fellow of the Australian College of Nursing, Jennifer has held influential roles spanning frontline nursing, senior leadership, and national advocacy. She is currently the Director of Leadership and Transformation at the Australian College of Nursing, where she is shaping leadership development for nurses across Australia.
Jennifer previously worked for the ACT Government as Director, Ageing and End of Life Policy, where she led strategic policy initiatives to support older Canberrans and people nearing the end of life. Throughout her career, Jennifer has been driven by a strong belief in empowering people to define their own goals and supporting them to achieve them. Her work reflects a deep commitment to person centred care, professional excellence, and advancing the nursing profession.

Selection criteria:

All applicants seeking to participate in this program are required to meet the following selection criteria:

Professional Registration:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) is required.

  • Must be currently working in Mental Health.

Commitment to Growth

  • Displays a strong desire for continuous learning, self-reflection, and the development of leadership capabilities.

Program Engagement

  • Willingness and ability to participate in all scheduled online webinars and complete assigned program activities within the specified timeframe.

Program fees:

Members $ 750 and Non-Members $900 Group bookings are encouraged!
