Nursing in the Community Faculty in collaboration with the NSW-Sydney Region present this webinar centered around the active involvement of nurses in policy. This is a crucial topic for nurses working in the community, given the current climate of numerous government policy changes impacting us.

Robyn Quinn FACN - Chair, NSW Sydney Region Robyn is the Chair of NSW /Sydney Region for ACN. She is also Chair of the Chronic Disease Faculty previously the Chronic Disease Policy Chapter of which she was Vice Chair. She represents ACN on the Council of ACHS, the Board of Health Professional Bank and the SEARCH project for NSW Family Planning Robyn has been working in Pain Management for many years both as clinic coordinator and then the General Manager of the Centre. Dr Samantha Jakimowicz FACN – Associate Professor of Nursing and Head of Discipline – Health Management and Leadership at Charles Sturt University, School of Nursing and Deputy Chair - NSW Sydney Region Dr Samantha Jakimowicz is Associate Professor of Nursing and Head of Discipline – Health Management and Leadership at Charles Sturt University, School of Nursing, Paramedicine and Health Sciences. She moved to Charles Sturt University from NSW Ministry of Health where she was tasked as Clinical Lead, to implement a wellbeing program across 28 hospitals in NSW. Previously she had worked as Director Professional Engagement, Australian College of Nursing and Senior Lecturer at the University of Technology Sydney. Samantha’s clinical, education and research experience is broad, however has focused on her passion of wellbeing of healthcare workers and patient experience. She is an established researcher and academic using co-design and mixed methods research.
