Nurses are the largest healthcare workforce group, and the ones who are ready and able to provide vaccination to the Australian population in these pandemic times. Although funding pathways place constraints on nurses to work to full scope2 and be comprehensively recognised for care provision and vaccination of their communities, nurses have continued to identify and innovatively provide care where it is most needed. Nurse led care provision continues to increase vaccination rates in vulnerable groups by: • Building trust • Increasing health literacy • Providing safe accessible opportunity
