Shingles

This 1 hour CPD is aimed at those who want to learn or re-fresh their knowledge of shingles. There is a focus on the pathogenesis, risk, prevention, and treatment of shingles.

Shingles occurs for about 50% of all people from 80 years old and above. Despite this high-risk, few people who are at risk are currently vaccinated. Recently there have been changes to the NIP schedule that the public and healthcare staff need to be aware of and understand.
