Cold Chain Management 2025 Update

Vaccines are sensitive biological products that require precise temperature control to maintain their effectiveness in protecting the community. Maintaining the vaccine cold chain is therefore essential, and all staff working with or around vaccines must understand its principles, even if they are not directly responsible for handling vaccines.

Personnel involved in the transport, storage, and handling of vaccines are required to be familiar with the correct equipment, monitoring processes, and organisational policies that govern safe storage and transportation. By the end of the module, you will have acquired the knowledge and confidence to support best practices in vaccine management and ensure the integrity of the cold chain.
