Adolescent and Young People

At its core, this event considered those behavioural challenges in young people which nurses may commonly need to respond to, and will consider: • behavioural challenges • how nurses might have different perceptions/thresholds for what they find challenging • challenges including; self-harm, aggression or acting out, high levels of distress/emotional dysregulation and extreme withdrawal Furthermore, the webinar provided a clinical overview of what the above might look like, present a lived experience example, and consider key principles and strategies which are integral in responding to behavioural challenges.
