_
_

As registered nurses we are often required to undertake the important role of supervising, precepting and educating members of the nursing team. Education influences professional development and clinical practice; therefore, we need tools and skills to help us with this important part of our role. Experiential learning is a learning theory that has practical applications to the clinical environment. In this module we will break down the elements of experiential learning using examples as well as a clinically focused narrative. We will also touch on reflective practice and its role in supporting not only your learners and preceptees, but also your own professional practice.
