Aged Care Bundle 2 - Aged Care Funding Instruments

The Australian Government subsidises a large proportion of the costs of running approved residential aged care homes. The Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI) is used for establishing and validating nursing care provided to residents. The amount of subsidy paid is based on the assessments of the residents’ ongoing care needs.

This series of CPD modules will give you the knowledge to effectively implement the ACFI within your facility. In these modules, you will investigate the structure of the domains and their intention, identify the expected outcomes for validation as well as understand the care planning and assessment process and review interventions for the nursing diagnosis.

You will have access to four individual CPD modules that can be completed at your own pace including:

Introduction to the aged care funding instruments
ACFI Domain 1 - Activities of Daily Living
ACFI Domain 2 - Cognition and Behaviour
ACFI Domain 3 - Complex Care
