Join us for a 5-week 'live and online' webinar series Lead From Where You Are - Leadership Program for Aged Care Nurses designed exclusively for Aged Care Nurses - enhance your leadership skills, exchange practical experiences, and lead meaningful change.

Led by the Australian College of Nursing, this program empowers Aged Care Nurses to strengthen teams, improve care, and help shape workplace culture.

About the program

It is time to challenge outdated ideas of leadership. Each topic focuses on developing practical leadership skills, building confidence, and unlocking the leadership potential of Aged Care Nurses.

Awaken the Leader Within - Explore what leadership means in aged care today. Develop self-awareness and understand how to lead with authenticity and purpose.

Thursday, 12 November 2026 (2:00pm - 3:30pm)

Leading in a changing Aged Care landscape - Understand the aged care environment and its reforms. Discover how to lead ethically and with integrity amidst complexity.

Online webinar 3: 

Thursday, 19 November 2026 (2:00pm - 3:30pm)

Leading Change with Confidence -Explore why people resist change and gain practical strategies to lead innovation and support teams through transitions.

Online webinar 4: 

Thursday, 26 November 2026 (2:00pm - 3:30pm)

Communicating for Trust and Safety - Learn to foster trust and build psychologically safe spaces where team members feel heard, supported, and valued.

Online webinar 5: 

Thursday, 3 December 2026 (2:00pm - 3:30pm)

Lead From Where You Are - Explore how to shape positive team cultures. Learn to lead teams that are safe, connected and focused on high-quality care.

 

Selection criteria:

All applicants seeking to participate in this program are required to meet the following selection criteria:

Professional Registration:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) is required.

  • Must be currently working in Aged Care.

Commitment to Growth

  • Displays a strong desire for continuous learning, self-reflection, and the development of leadership capabilities.

Program Engagement

  • Willingness and ability to participate in all scheduled online webinars and complete assigned program activities within the specified timeframe.

Program fees:

Members $ 750 and Non-Members $900 Group bookings are encouraged!
